Objects and Diagrams Preview
You can now preview OSLC links, as well as any Capella model elements and diagrams, making navigation even smoother:
Integration with PTC Codebeamer
Capella’s integration with ALM tools is expanding! We now offer experimental integration with PTC Codebeamer.
This integration is still in an experimental phase, due to limitations in current CodeBeamer version. Feel free to contact us if you’d like to test it!
OpenID Connect for Secure Authentication
You can now secure user authentication with OpenID Connect (OAuth2), both in the web interface and the Capella client.
Note that previous “user/password” authentication method remains supported.
New User Profile Management
We have introduced three new user roles:
- Admin – Full control over projects settings and management.
- Contributor – Can modify and contribute content and traceability links.
- Reader – Read-only access for viewing models.
Most importantly: This comes with a new pricing model that makes read-only access much more affordable, enabling large-scale sharing of your Capella models.
New Licensing Management Tool
A dedicated licensing management tool has been introduced to help administer accounts and project teams more efficiently.
New Options for OSLC Project Association
We’ve introduced new configuration options in the OSLC project association dialog, allowing you to:
- Control selection and creation permissions in the remote artifact repository.
- Decide whether the dialog should close after each OSLC link creation.
Possibility to Force Diagrams Refresh
A "Refresh Diagrams" option is now available in the publication dialog, ensuring your diagrams stay up to date across the entire model.
No more worries about outdated diagrams—updates are now automatically applied upon publication, guaranteeing consistency across shared diagrams.
Diagrams in the Semantic Model Tree
Diagrams are now displayed in the semantic model tree, just like in Capella, in addition to the "Representations per Viewpoint" area:
Improved User Feedback & Issue Handling
We’ve made several enhancements to provide better user feedback:
- Clearer error messages in Capella when publication issues occur.
- Warning decorations on projects and jobs in the web interface.
Other Improvements
- Broken links to deleted artifacts can now be detected and handled.
- The “Show Online” command on a diagram’s background now correctly opens the diagram page.
- You can now create traceability links via copy-paste, in addition to drag & drop—solving remote access constraints where drag & drop is not possible.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you want to test or migrate to this powerful new version 2025.1, and stay tuned for further evolutions on Obeo Publication for Capella !
