The all-new contextual palette in SysON is here to take your productivity to the next level! With its complete redesign, you can now:
- Drag and reposition the palette (with docking functionality coming soon).
- Quickly search and find the elements or tools you need.
- Access frequently used commands like delete, edit, and more.
- Enjoy one-click access to your most recently used tool.
- Retrieve all tools, now neatly organized into sections by name.
This redesign ensures that everything you need is always at your fingertips, helping you model with greater speed and ease.
But there’s more! The new command palette, accessible from the top-right corner or by pressing "CTRL + K", adds even more convenience to your workflow.
On this 2025.1 release, the command palette allows you to quickly locate any element in your model using the "Search Element" command. Future updates will expand its functionality to support a wider range of tool commands, ensuring you have even more power at your fingertips.
With these enhancements, SysON helps you model faster and more efficiently than ever before.
Library improvements
We’ve introduced a dedicated section in the explorer view called “Libraries”, which organizes standard and user-imported libraries for easier navigation. This section includes:
- KerML: KerML standard libraries
- SysML: SysML standard libraries
- User Libraries: Libraries imported by users
Now you can display elements from imported packages directly in diagrams.
Library packages are now correctly imported, allowing users to delete imported library models directly from the explorer. However, the elements within these models remain protected, ensuring they cannot be edited or deleted.
Furthermore, we’ve streamlined the contextual menus by removing unnecessary options such as 'New objects from text', 'New object', and 'New representation' for libraries.
This refinement results in a cleaner and more intuitive interface, making working with libraries simpler and more efficient.
Continuous improvements for a better experience
We’ve resolved an issue where error messages would appear when selecting an element with implicit specialization while displaying the Related Elements View.
The OccurrenceDefinition and OccurrenceUsage are now supported during export from model to textual SysMLv2.
Finally, we’ve added support for importing .kerml textual files, expanding your modeling possibilities.
