Sirius Web 2025.12: Another Step Toward a Smoother Experience

With this new release, we continued strengthening the quality of the diagramming experience, the fluidity of navigation, and the consistency of the overall user journey.

Many of these improvements are part of long-term efforts, and while some areas are still evolving, this version brings noticeable progress that should make every day modeling more pleasant and efficient.

Better Diagrams, One Iteration at a Time

Diagram editors remain at the core of Sirius Web, and this release brings a new wave of enhancements that make them more robust, and more intuitive.

Cleaner and More Legible Edge Crossings

This release improves how crossing edges are rendered, making complex diagrams easier to read with smoother and more visually consistent intersections.

Resizable labels for improved readability

Outside node labels and edge labels can now be resized, giving you more control over how information appears and how diagrams remain readable as they grow.

To enable the resize the overflow strategy of outside label and edge label descriptions should have been set to Wrap or Ellipsis.

More consistent visuals and interactions

We’ve introduced several refinements that collectively make diagrams feel more predictable and polished:

  • Better handle visibility and interactions
  • Improved border-node behavior
  • Minimum size constraints to avoid unreadable or collapsed nodes

These changes don’t reinvent the diagramming experience, but they make it feel noticeably smoother and more stable.

Overall, while the diagramming subsystem is still evolving, this release represents a meaningful step forward in terms of usability and visual quality.

A More Modern Navigation and Search Experience

Finding and navigating elements in a modeling project becomes easier with several complementary improvements.

New semantic search panel

You can now explore model elements using a dedicated search panel, designed to help you quickly jump to relevant elements without browsing the entire project manually.

Foundations for future cross-project search

The Omnibox (previously available only while editing a project) is now available directly within project navigation. In parallel, we have added the first components of an optional Elasticsearch-based indexing system. These foundations prepare Sirius Web for more advanced search scenarios, including future cross-project search capabilities.

Sirius Web Now Speaks Multiple Languages

This release introduces the first support of internationalization (i18n) infrastructure for both the frontend and backend.

  • English and French translations are available out of the box
  • Projects can now contribute their own translation bundles

This makes Sirius Web more accessible and more adaptable to domain-specific modeling environments built in other languages.

Progress on Project Management

We also made progress toward improving project creation and configuration, although this area is still evolving.

Better duplication and import/export

Sirius Web now supports duplicating a project. Dependencies are preserved during this process, making it possible to reliably create a copy of an existing project.

Library selection during project creation

We have begun laying the groundwork for improving the project creation workflow. As a first step, it is now possible to select and import libraries when creating a new project. This early capability sets the stage for a more flexible and configurable initialization process in future releases.

More changes are coming in future releases as we continue refining this part of the platform.

Looking Ahead

Sirius Web continues to grow through steady, incremental improvements. This release brings stronger diagram editors, better navigation tools, multilingual support, and ongoing progress in project management. As always, we welcome your feedback and look forward to polishing these foundations even further.
